What I did was turn off the xbox and then when the game is loading, like after you select it from the dashboard menu screen, hit A until you get the options to continue, load, etc. This is supposed to clear the xbox cache and it's helped me a couple of times. Then when I got to the bridge, it wouldn't let me shoot my Destabilizer, but when I pulled out my Drone Cannon, it just kept shooting continuously without me even pressing anything, so I had to put my weapon away, and my character just kept punching without me pressing R.
