They stand behind the quality of their products and really care about customer needs. I would not hesitate to buy from them again and again. I ordered a wine cooler from build. It was dollars, and lbs. The item was scheduled for delivery by a freight company. The freight company arrived and would not bring the item to my front door, they wanted to leave it at the curb.
Once that was explained, I told the driver I would NOT be accepting the delivery, because I live in the middle of Houston, and could not move lbs myself.
I would reschedule the delivery. The driver took off, and left the wine fridge on the curb. I called the freight company they didn't care and Build. They told me that I could return the item for dollars. I explained that the item was left on the curb, and I declined it. No recourse for the freight company. The only way to get a refund is to have the same freight company come out and take items back to build. They do not stand behind their customers, allow their vendors to provide terrible service, and simply do not care if you have a bad experience.
Buy from someone else. Especially if you need any customer service. If you're like me, you might start at the bottom of the reviews to see what "negative" responses were made. In short, we were sent a shower door kit that had mixed kit parts. We installed the framework over several days, only to find, at the end, the doors were the wrong size. I talked to someone on live chat, and they sent a new kit.
I explained that I didn't intend to hunt down and pay for packing material, drive to a dropoff to send back. They sent a driver out to get the parts but he wouldn't take them because they weren't packaged up.
I called again to Build Could only get robo-answers when I tried to call. Got on live chat and they wouldn't fix the situation. Beware, it's apparently a shipping company with little staff, no operators, and no way to fix an issue, even when it's their doing.
Compared to Home Depot where it's better to use Google to search than try their lame search , this site is fantastic. Prices are excellent. Beats Amazon. Seems like most negative reviews are about the delivery process. For me it's been great and got everything I wanted in a timely manner and at unbeatable prices. Highly recommend. Love to have an alternate to Amazon. We ordered a Kohler shower pan in June. Delivered with no signature not approved by us for that, but dropped in the driveway when unwrapped, it was damaged.
Build immediately shipped a 2nd, expedited delivery, extra packing - NOT expedited - it took 4 days to get here, and it was dropped in our driveway, NO signature again, not approved to do so by us , and NO packing on it at all - plastic wrapped to a piece of plywood. We are awaiting our 3rd pan. Had I read the other reviews prior to ordering I'd have probably paid more to get it thru someone else.
Don't bother - it's SO not worth the hassle - pay the extra to have a better experience. I bought a lock dead latch from Build. I never have to pay for return shipping when buy anything from Amazon. Anyhow, thie is the second order in week that's gone sideways. I reordered a previous item that disappeared to an unknown address. Paypal indicated correct shipping address, but completed with fictional. Cancelled Order on website, but it's only temporary cancellation. A good customer experience is welcome, but a bad one is forever. Two in a row? Just received an online cancellation and refund acknowledgement.
So maybe the posted 'temporary' cancellation is not effective. I have used Paypal for years without a shipping address screwup like this. I'm not a tech type, but I suggest the build. Tip for consumers: throw your money out the window. Products used: reordered from another vendor. Part described incorrectly by Build. Turns out they don't even carry the part listed hence why the wrong part was shipped.
Stay away. There are far more reputable businesses to deal with than this one. They don't stock anything they are just middlemen for low class vendors who can't get business or already lost business.
I ordered something a couple weeks ago and received a package from Build yesterday. Their info shows I received my order. I understand Covid is causing issues but this is ridiculous. That week the governor shut down the state. This Monday they came back to install the cabinet and icemaker wearing masks and being very thoughtful only to find the ice marker had been damaged in delivery.
Looks like a forklift must have it the side of it. The company refused to replace because it was a week over the 30 days. NO ONE was working or around to look at it. This company is despicable! Do not order from them, they have ZERO customer service and are extremely rude.
They will not help you and they make it impossible to contact them. They make it very apparent that they are not in the business of customer service, and they don't want to help their customers. I called to make sure they were in stock and told yes, one of them would be shipped to me in the next 3 days.
Then on the 4th day I asked about shipping and was told the item was backordered and it would be 3 weeks before I would get it. Absolute liars and horrible customer service. They are sham con artists. Products used: NONE. They never provided any products that we paid in full for. No products were delivered. I ordered 3 products. Two out of three were cancelled by Build. The items were meant to go together. So when I put in for a return, I get charged for the return shipping?! What kind of business does that to it's customers.

I ordered in December of for a new build. As my new home was delayed, I did not open and catch the bait and switch to a cheaper Mansfield toilet. I left voice msgs, chat msgs and emails all of which were unanswered until the warranty period expired.
Then I was told to buy a new toilet to replace the bait and switch item. I'd like to give 0 stars. Tip for consumers: Go elsewhere. Com does not stand behind its products or services. While we do have an occasional defect get sent out, we are always quick to send a new one out to the customer. We also communicate via email if there are any back order issues with the manufacturer that were unforeseen. Thank you! I don't know how you can actually get them to answer the correct lead time.
I received an estimated ship date when I ordered an American Standard faucet. Then, they emailed me 3 more times with delays. I called them after the first delay, and while I was on the phone with the agent, she placed me on hold and called American Standard, and said they told her that there would be no more delays.
After this last delay, I called to cancel the order. They said they would "request cancellation" from American Standard. The service agent i spoke with escalated to her supervisor, and the supervisor is the worst person I have ever encountered when dealing with customer service. Sorry to hear that. What finish were you trying to match? Usually its best ti use the same brand name when trying to match a finish, such as a Moen faucet to match a Moen towel bar or towel ring.
That is because everybody has their own technique of making their products. I wonder if the finish on your new American Standard faucet is doesn't match because the other item you're matching in not made by American Standard.
You should be able to return it if it hasn't been installed in any way and you still have the original packaging.
